Terms of Service

1. Informational service only
OSHA IQ is an informational research tool. It aggregates and presents workplace safety enforcement records published by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Nothing on this site is legal, financial, hiring, underwriting, or compliance advice, and it must not be used as the sole basis for any employment, contracting, insurance, lending, or investment decision.
2. Data accuracy & source of record
The underlying data comes from public government records and may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors. Records are matched to employers using name and location and may occasionally be attributed to the wrong entity. The official source of record is always the DOL/OSHA enforcement database. You are responsible for verifying any information against the official source before relying on it. See our risk-score methodology for how derived scores are calculated.
3. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
4. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and not to share, resell, or abuse access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You may not scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute the service's content except through features we expressly provide, nor use the service to harass any individual or to make automated adverse decisions about people. Rate limits and tier restrictions apply and may change.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OSHA IQ and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
OSHA IQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OSHA, the U.S. Department of Labor, or any government agency. “OSHA” is used descriptively to refer to the public dataset.
